It just takes a little extra love and patience until Pip gets settled in a couple of weeks. Bo was a slight terror when I first brought him home but a few weeks later he was a dream dog. I am so happy you guys gave a rescue dog a wonderful new home! :)Erika @ Our Cozy Cubbyholehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06690687611127118682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2001906133641295974.post-88565851537364933852013-02-20T10:45:55.456-05:002013-02-20T10:45:55.456-05:00when my finn first came home he was prone to accid...when my finn first came home he was prone to accidents too.
some things i found worked were taking him outside A LOT. it seemed excessive but it was better than him peeing in the house. taking him out as soon as he got up in the morning, immediatly after meals, every hour and anytime i left him/came home.
when i took him outside i would tell him to "hurry up" in a very cheerful pleasent voice. as soon as he peed/pooed i would give him lots of praise! this is something a trainer told my parents to do years ago and it works. even now as soon as i say "hurry up" finn will pee on command.
last but not least patience and trying not to get upset when the accidents happen. it is hard i know.
the cats and dog will eventually get along, or at least tolerate each other!
good luck and i hope these help a bit!andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07570334635177797725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2001906133641295974.post-87737991052916429112013-02-20T08:55:04.424-05:002013-02-20T08:55:04.424-05:00What a cutie!
