When writing a blog post, do you ever find yourself withholding "valuable" information?
I'll admit it, sometimes....I do.
When it comes to beauty products, on occasion I think, "If I share this...and then everyone goes and buys it....it won't be "my thing" anymore. But then I come to my senses and think, "Why not share the wealth of great products, crazy woman?!" :)
I don't know about you and the goals you may strive for, but one of mine is writing a novel or such. I can't tell you how many stories I've begun just to see them fizzle out after the first chapter or two. I just can't keep up with inspiration!
I was reading a blog going on a Month ago now & the bloggist, as I'll call her, shared a little secret (Although, I don't know if she considered it one) in keeping up the inspiration or getting through "writer's block."
Take notes.
This should have been a no brainer, right? I could have face palmed at the idea of not recognizing this awesome bit of info sooner.
So today, I sat in my favorite chair nestled next to a window with a wonderful amount of natural light, picked up my "Angry Birds" notebook- and began to take notes.
Descriptions, jewelry companies, names & words that get my blood pumping.
This way, when I need a word or want to describe the feeling of something or an emotion- I can flip open my little notebook and find it!
Anyway, I guess I wanted to share this little bit of wonderfulness with you- so that if you're hoping to write your own piece of literature one day- you can start off on the right foot :)
Until next time, write down what inspires you.
