I would like to drink tea. Hot tea, that is. I learned from my Mom the sweetness of making some green tea, the normal way, and then pouring it over a cup of ice and then refrigerating it. Pure amazing.
But my taste buds just aren't allowing hot tea to enter the picture. I'm an avid coffee drinker- I feel like my life is incomplete or that I can't get through the day without my 100 cal. Frappuccino.
So today, out of coffee, I looked through my cabinets and found a box of hardly touched Tazo Chai Tea. I took a deep breath and thought, "Taste buds...you're not in charge today. I am."
Result?
So, I reverted back to my old ways and poured the remains over ice, which was delicious.

Until next time, I would love to know your tea-drinking secrets!

im a tea drinker but I don't have any secrets... I do have 2 favorite teas: PG Tips! and zen green tea from tazo with honey. You may like them a bit more than the one you have...
Ooh, love drinking hot tea at the end of the day!! I usually sweeten mine with rice milk, a bit of honey and add fresh lemon!! YUM! I also find chai tea lattes from Starbucks pretty darn addictive too. xo veronika
Bahaha I completely agree! My fiancé is British and he drinks English breakfast tea with lots of milk and sugar. It just tastes like weak coffee to me :)
Have you tried buying chai tea concentrate? Oregon Chai has a great one that doesn't taste just like leaves. Plus, you can do it iced or hot, and it's a great middle ground! I may be a bit biased, as it's my favorite thing to drink :)

OoOo, thanks for the suggestions!
I haven't even heard of it! Thanks for the suggestion :)
Zen green tea by Tazo is one of my favorite to ice. :)
Thanks for the suggestions!
I know, right? I just can't wrap my head around tea. I mean, there are so many tea drinkers out there- there has to be...something good about it, right?
To drink tea like a true Brit, you should add milk and sugar. It makes a world of difference. English breakfast or Lady Grey are good traditional varieties. Also, chai tea is best in latte form with steamed milk. Give it one last try!
Haha! That's great! I love hot tea...but that's because I grew up in Czech, where in preschool they serve warm tea with lunch as the only drink. Not just black tea...but that really sweet red fruit tea. :D Have you ever tried a good fruit tea? I personally like European teas way better than the American brands. If you send me your address, I could send you some good ol' Czech tea to try! :)
I'm really not a tea drinker either. I just got back from a semester in England where tea is obviously super popular. I got into English Breakfast Tea and just poured a crap ton of milk and sugar into it. Not bad. :)
"A crap ton" bahaha :) Milk, sugar, and honey seem to be the general consensus. Guess I better try it that way!
I love tea! More specifically chai! I usually let my tea bag seep in my hot water for a few minutes before drinking it. Even better you can put a plate on top of your mug to keep the "flavors" in it. Then I add two scoops of sugar and a bit of milk.
My other favorite, especially when I'm sick, is Good Earth Tea. It is delicious just plain, without sugar or milk.
