Inhale, Exhale.

I always notice immediately the things that make me take a deep breath and relax.
What kind of things relax you?

For me, it's good music.
A bathrobe.
Coffee in a great mug. (Has to be a great mug...)
Kitty head butts.
Fresh flowers.
Top Knots.
A soft, oversized blanket.
Candles.

Stress is something that I definitely deal with on a regular basis.  When I find a lotion or product that advertises it's for "Stress Relief"- I'm totally there.  Even if it doesn't seem to do anything- the idea itself helps in some way.  The mind is a powerful thing, eh?

But hey, take some time to figure out what relaxes & destresses you and...by george! Do those things! :)

A Day in the Life of a Nanny II

Hey Friends.

Again, please excuse any maintenance my blog may be undergoing over the next week or so. Nothing too crazy. Just need a little somethin' somethin' different :)

I've recently started watching Beverly Hills Nannies- have you seen it?  It's crazy that I can relate to the women (...and men?) on the show. Not even close to as bad (I have great employers currently!)- but still. It's a crazy life.

Here are some fun photos & a video of a day in the life. :)

Friday's Letters

Bubble Love.

Dear Mom,
I'm sorry I caused you so much anxiety last week. I will never skip Friday's Letters....again. :)

Dear Frenchies Onions,
That's what I'm talkin' about!

Dear Computer Viruses,
I don't need any kind of enlargements. I don't want a one-night stand either. So...just be on your way.

Dear Basketball Wives (tv show),
When you call someone "Boo Boo"...what does that even mean?  Because...that's the nickname for my Cat. I need to know if there is an alternative meaning!

Dear Un-Born Future Babies,
How do you feel about the year...2014?

Dear Stomach (And thighs, arms, chest, face aaaand butt...),
Shrink. NOW.

Dear Giant Spiders,
You do realize...that when you jump & try to attack me....I'm on the other side of glass, right??

Comfort Look

When I was in High School & College- I absolutely loved experimenting with makeup. Different colors, different products, different techniques.  As I've gotten older ( Mid-20's...really??)- and kind of gotten into a groove schedule-wise, I kind of know what I do like, what I don't like & what I have time for.  (Not to say that I'm not still trying new things!)

On Thursdays, it's my "two job day."  So I work from about 8am to 8pm.  About an hour before I have to head to my second job, I prep my face so I don't look like I've just worked an 8 hour day with a toddler. :)

I use three primary products and do my hair in a quick top knot (if I didn't choose to spend an hour straightening my hair the night before, blah!).

So, I thought I'd share with you a quick, super easy way to look fresh without going through a ridiculous amount of steps & products.

1. I apply Line Stiletto Eyeliner
2. Enough mascara to create the look that I'm going for- I really like Lancome & Clinique Mascaras
3. I use Revlon Spa Illuminator to give myself a dewy glow. I apply it the apples of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, on my forhead slightly above both brows, a dab on my chin.
* For a really fun trick, dab a little illuminator at the top of your lips- makes them look fuller. :)

Hair There, Everywhere

I have naturally curly hair & find that products that generally work on "normal" hairs, don't usually work on mine.
I recently purchased some organic Argan Oil Shampoo- I was so excited because I know that Argan Oil is so good for your skin/hair.  But in this case, it makes my hair incredibly dry & hard to brush. Not gonna lie here, I enjoy natural products as much as the next person- but I also like my hair to be soft & good smelling!

I'd love to hear what you're favorite shampoos/conditions or styling products are.  I change my products every few Months.

Just some examples how awesome my hair was :) Since, I've gotten into professional straightening- although I haven't done it in months and my hair is...a fro. For sure.

If you think of it, say a little prayer for 007. He's had a rough day. We took him to the emergency vet office & they had to put him in an oxygen box. He's doing a little better, but weak & scared. Po' babe.

Freedee

(Sexy n' he knows it...)

Dear Tailbone,
Ouch.

Dear Readers,
I love ya.

Dear Olympics,
You bring memories of my Sister & I laying out mattresses and pretending we're participating in gymnastic events. Pretty sure...we deserved...Gold. Definitely.

Dear Fresh Spun Sugar Candle,
So, this is love!

Dear Hair,

You're so thick, curly, and long, that I can barely put you in a top knot. You fall to the side & I end up looking like "Ma Kettle".

Dear Crickets,
I don't care what anyone says, you're not bothersome. Keep on cricket...ing?

Dear Energy Surge,
Thank you. I owe my clean house, all to you.
