Dear Mr. President

I voted today!
Although, I wish I could post a picture of me wearing my awesome sticker- we actually got really simple. Really tiny. Really ugly stickers. So no picture on that.

I don't know about how this whole political ordeal has been for you- but it's been really stressful for me.  I'm simple in the way that I don't dwell too much on politics. They're depressing to me.

So, here are a few pictures of things that are happy, non-political, and comforting. :)

As of late, I've really enjoyed Biscottis with my coffee. They're so light and flavorful. Plus I feel like I can dream a little easier of being at a small Cafe' in Paris :)

After voting today, I pulled my pajamas back on, along with the first two socks I pulled out of my drawer. Of course they were different patterns. Luckily, I don't think the Hubs noticed, ha!

We woke up late today and had a large Lunch, which happened to be breakfast. :) So we had French Toast with Strawberries. It was so good! I think next time I'll try my hand at Stuffed French Toast.

If you haven't visited "Shabby Apple" in awhile- they've got a 10% off sale going on- all Red dresses- go check it out!

Tis the Season.

I can feel an abundance of Fall weather-ness brewing.  I'm sure you've read tons beyond tons of blogs about all that's Fall already, and it's really, just begun. (Hoorah!)

Fall is by far my favorite Season. And by far, I mean....there is no comparison. The other Seasons have their perks, but Fall is just....perfection. Isn't it?
I mean, comfy sweaters, a slight chill, colorful leaves, warm drinks....LOVE.

This Fall, I'm looking forward to spending a good amount of time taking advantage of our back deck, Starbucks drinks, Pumpkin patches & lots of boots, sweaters, and scarves.

What are you most excited for in the Fall Season?

-Yes to Carrots Pomegranate Lip Butter- so hydrating! Perfect for Fall.
-White Chocolate Mocha- Perfect if you like your coffee a little sweeter.
-Top Knots never get old for me :)
-A sock bun- without a sock! In fact, I didn't even use a hair tie! (Advantage of Longggg Hair!)
-Relaxing on the deck with my Sweet. :)

Day Old Coffee

Good Morning, Darlings!

I'm currently doing my best to soak up some time off from work- and actually enjoy the Morning. Enter, coffee in my favorite mug, making my Hubster's lunch, having some devo time...and my blog :)

I hope you had a good weekend filled with everything you love.  For me, that means a little bit of something & more of nothing. :)
This weekend, K & I went to Munson's Chocolate, had Mexican food, went on late night drives, and watched some of our favorite movies. We also hit up Barnes & Noble (...I could get lost there.) and picked up some stationery for me & a little "Why I Love You" Journal for us. (It's super fun!)

Also, I'm not sure if you're familiar with the brand Julep, but if not, you must check them out! I receive a box every Month with 4 or so new items. I just got some nail polish that I adore.

These are "Lynn" & "Yumi"

Okay, enough of all that randomness :)  Try & have a good Monday!

A Good Week

Hello Friends!

I recently blogged about a Visitor arriving ; My Mom.
I had a few requests to make sure I did a little "re-run" of what our week together was like & so...here it is!

I got Mom hooked on Lattes, which was a proud moment for me. I love having a coffee drinking buddy! :)
We did Mud Masks together.
We also visited several antique shops, my favorite which was Tickled Pink Shoppe .
We baked cookies...or rather, Mom baked cookies- and she makes the best!
We painted our nails and followed it up by taking cheesy pictures. (Posted below)
We went to a charming little Tea Shop (Blog post to follow).
Aaaand, got into my first car accident .

Overall it was such a wonderful trip. I loved having that "girl time" with my Mom to catch up & experience that familiarity that Family should bring.
When it came time for Mom to go (actually, a few days prior...) I vented to my Husband and ended the day crying myself to sleep.
Have you experienced that 'sting' of reality that being an adult slaps on ya every so often? That happened for me this week.  I don't want to live so far away from my Family. I don't want to get back to the same daily grind. I definitely do not want to wait until December to see my Family again.
But. It's the reality of life. It's reality of being an adult. And it's just...the way it is. (It doesn't mean I need to enjoy every second of it though!!)

I've absolutely been blessed with a wonderful Family. They're always there for me, always supportive- and they always make me laugh :) Thank you, Family!

Until next time, get in contact with your Family.

Morning Elegance

Although I hate waking up early- once I've got myself around and un-zombie-like, I thoroughly enjoy the Morning itself.
The birds chirping always make me happy.  They seem cheerful and it's an announcement that I've made it to another day of life.
My favorite breakfast as of late has been a fruit-yogurt-granola mix with a 100 cal. Starbucks Frappuccino.  Pure deliciousness.

I love when our bedroom door opens, in runs Moneypenny meowing anxiously as she hopes for a little morning love.  007 usually assumes the "guard" position outside our door until we refill his food dish. :)

One of my favorite songs is called "Her Morning Elegance" by Oren Lavie.  I'm going to end this post with the music video for your listening pleasure :)

Until next time, find something you *do* enjoy about the Morning.
